Scottie won six National Basketball Association (NBA) championships with the Chicago Bulls. He played for 17 seasons in the NBA. Early Life 

Scottie Pippen was born in Hamburg Arkansas on September 25, 1965. He was born to Ethel and Preston Pippen. His father worked in a paper mill until he was paralyzed by a stroke. Scottie is the youngest of his siblings. He has 11 older brothers and sisters. Scottie attended Hamburg High School and was an active member of the basketball team in his school. He was the captain of the team and therefore led his team in state playoffs and was awarded all-conference honors as a senior. Despite his hard work, Scottie, unfortunately, wasn’t offered any college scholarships. He began his college playing career at the University of Central Arkansas. As a senior, he was able to draw the attention of NBA scouts because of his per-game averages of 23.6 points, 10 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and nearly 60 percent field goal.

Career 

Scottie joined the Chicago Bulls in 1987. He made his (NBA) National Basketball Association debut on November 7, 1987. He made the team win by finishing with 10 points, 2 steals, 4 assists, and 1 rebound in 23 minutes of play. Because of his terrific performance, the Bulls won 104-94. His teammate Michael Jordan helped him refine his skills and thus he was able to learn and develop many new skills on offense and defense over time. Both of them used to practice together. Scottie won NBA All-Defensive Second Team honors during the 1990-91 NBA season. He majorly contributed to the Bulls’ win against the Los Angeles Lakers in the 1991 NBA Finals. Later, he made the Bulls win three NBA championships back-to-back from 1996 to 1998.

After playing for 11 seasons in the Chicago Bulls, Scottie was traded to the Houston Rockets in 1998-1999. Therefore, he played for Portland Trailblazers from 1998-2003. After the season of 2002-2003, Scottie left Portland and signed a contract of $10 million with the Chicago Bulls. He announced his retirement on October 5, 2004.

At the age of 42, in 2008, Scottie made a brief comeback to professional basketball. He went on a tour to Scandinavia and played for Finnish league team Torpan Pojat and Sundsvall. In 2010, he returned to Bulls as a brand ambassador. He was the senior advisor to Bulls president and COO Michael Reinsdorf. Scottie Pippen Wife was Karen McCollum. They married in 1988 and have a son named Antron together. However, the couple divorced in 1990. Scottie married again in 1997. His second wife was the Real Housewives Miami star, Larsa Younan. Scottie Pippen Children are four named Scotty Jr, Preston, Justin, and Sophia, they divorced in 2018.  He also has a daughter Sierra with his former fiancée Yvette De Leon and another daughter named Taylor with his former girlfriend Sonya Roby.
