Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, was born on 28 January 1976, in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Roberts belonged to Carol City, Florida, and attended Miami Carol City Senior High School. He graduated from Miami Carol City Senior High School and attended the historically black college Albany State University on a football scholarship.
Career
From December 1995, Rick Ross worked as a correctional officer for 18 months until he resigned in 1997. The former drug kingpin “Freeway” Rick Ross inspired his stage name.
